Breakheart Reservation hosts over 600+ acres of land in the heart of Saugus for recreational use. It is run by the Metro District Commission (MDC). It offers walking/jogging, bicycling, hiking, swimming, picnicking, fishing and cross country skiing to name a few. Breakheart is located off Lynn Fells Parkway in Saugus just minutes from Route 1. Camp Nihan offers approximately 47 acres of recreational land. It offers camping, ATV motoring, bicycling, non-motor boating, fresh water swimming and fishing, hiking, horseback riding and ice skating to name a few. Kasabuski Memorial Ice Rink is located at the entrance of Breakheart Reservation and is a municipal skating rink. This rink is used by many leagues for hockey. John Hatch is the Director at the Rink. They can be reached at 781-231-4183.
Prankers Pond another recreational area in town that offers 54 acres of picnicking, hiking and other outdoor activities.
YMCA has recently undergone renovations and added a large addition. The 'Y' offers many activities for the youth in Saugus. The YMCA is located at 298 Main Street and can be reached at 781-2330443.
